These are great ideas. I'd like to piggyback on one of them... the one about not expecting perfection. The wonderful things I remember from my childhood are not of a perfectly manicured table full of fancy food or the anticipation of expensive gifts. My memories are of decorating our tacky little Christmas tree, crowding into our tiny kitchen to eat, and opening the inexpensive gifts my mom and grandparents had to work so hard to get for us. Things not only don't have to be perfect... it's almost better if they're not, because then they're just real. I will cherish those memories all my life.
